Mr. Lester worked in the Information Technology (IT) field for ten years following graduation from Louisiana Tech, progressing from Computer Technician up to Director of Technology.  He holds several computer and networking certifications and has worked for IBM, UPS, Computer Sciences Corporation, LSU Medical Center, and a few other large manufacturing companies, schools and hospitals.  He has taught many continuing education courses in the IT field, as well as, Management 102 at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana.  While in law school, Mr. Lester served as Online Editor of the Houston Journal of International Law and President of the Solo and Small Firm Association (student group) while attending school part-time and working full-time. After graduating from law school, Mr. Lester worked for a large insurance firm in East Texas providing corporate guidance, settling lawsuits, and defending insureds in the courtroom. He then changed focus to oil and gas, along with real estate. Working as a landman to get familiar with oil & gas real estate title, he quickly developed his skills and went on to work for a large independent East Texas oil and gas exploration and production company as Assistant General Counsel.  Following that, he became general counsel and vice-president of a large East Texas oil & gas land services firm that provided landmen to the industry for title research, due diligence, and leasing.

Mr. Lester has created and taught numerous AAPL accredited courses for the energy industry and has had several articles published in both the computer field and law field in peer-reviewed journals.  His latest work is a chapter forthcoming from the National Association of Division Order Analysts (NADOA) Handbook entitled "Texas Oil and Gas Law."  In September 2012, Mr. Lester gave a lecture to the "Landman's Big Adventure" Conference in Graham, Texas, where he reviewed the latest case law and regulatory developments in Texas Oil and Gas law.

In addition to the being a member of The College of the State Bar of Texas (a privilege for those Texas lawyers who attend at least double the required mandatory continuing legal education (MCLE), he was also recently admitted to practice before the United State District Court for the Eastern District of Texas (Federal Court).  In addition, Mr. Lester is also licensed in state courts in Texas, Arkansas & Oklahoma.  Mr. Lester is also a member of the Harrison County (Texas) Bar Association, Natural Resources Law Section (Arkansas Bar), Energy and Natural Resources Section (Oklahoma Bar), Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section (Texas Bar), and the Oil, Gas and Mineral Section (Texas Bar).

Moseley who retired after nearly 50 years of practicing law.  At that time, the name of his firm changed from The Lester Firm to Moseley & Lester.
